Pirotan Island is a small island in the Arabian Sea’s Marine National Park. It is located 12 nautical miles off the shore in the Gujarat state of India’s Jamnagar district. Mangroves and low-tide beaches make up the majority of the area. It is India’s first maritime national park, having been created in 1982. The island was named after Pirotan Patan, an ancient city that was most likely located near Bedi Bandar.
